Chris Proposes to Denise

I had the special honor of photographing a wedding proposal on Saturday the 10th in the Boston Public Gardens. Normally I get involved after the wedding date, location, dress, yada yada has all been figured out but this time I knew more about the wedding then the potential Bride. :)

Chris had planned to propose at the location of their first date which was the dock at the Swan Boats in Public Garden. He hired myself and EdmondVideo to capture the entire event for posterity. But being that this was a public place there were a number of issues to consider with the most pressing being crowd control. What if sunbathers took over the dock or the local photo club was capturing duck pictures? Chris had a planned for that possibility too. He enlisted the assistance of a friend who ran interference. Every time someone went to step on the dock Mike came out of nowhere and shooed them away. Plus the homemade 'Dock is closed' signs printed in 5 different languages helped. :)

Lots of people noticed what was going on at the dock and stopped to watch and even applauded! It was really very special and I am glad to have been a small part of it.

Enjoy the pictures!

This is Frank Denise and Chris' dog. They wouldn't have a special moment like this without him.
