What a beautiful day Kait & Andy had! The service was a lovely affair at Greys Beach in Kingston MA overlooking the water. The reception was held at Jones River Trading just a few miles away. I love a short drive between locations. :)
This was not a wedding of mine but for the first time in a while was a second shooter for Laura Parent of Relive Photography in NH. It was really nice to work with another pro and have the freedom to wander all over and capture nice off-angle images. When you are the lead photographer your responsibility is to capture all the key moments and not to miss a thing. But as the second shooter you can float a bit more and capture reaction shots and more candid work. It was great!
Kait & Andy certainly made it easy. They are lovely couple and I was honored to be a part of their day.
Enjoy the pictures!

The Kanevski Family
Had the pleasure of photographing the Kanevski family this past weekend. The foliage is at its peak here in so we had lots to work with at Borderland State Park in Easton. The Kavenski's had won a sitting at the fund-raising auction of the Attleboro-Taunton Area Mothers of Twins Club, try saying that a few times fast. :)
Wandering the park was huge fun and we got to play amongst the vines of the Ames house. Hopefully we can make this a yearly event. :)
Enjoy!

Chris Proposes to Denise
I had the special honor of photographing a wedding proposal on Saturday the 10th in the Boston Public Gardens. Normally I get involved after the wedding date, location, dress, yada yada has all been figured out but this time I knew more about the wedding then the potential Bride. :)
Chris had planned to propose at the location of their first date which was the dock at the Swan Boats in Public Garden. He hired myself and EdmondVideo to capture the entire event for posterity. But being that this was a public place there were a number of issues to consider with the most pressing being crowd control. What if sunbathers took over the dock or the local photo club was capturing duck pictures? Chris had a planned for that possibility too. He enlisted the assistance of a friend who ran interference. Every time someone went to step on the dock Mike came out of nowhere and shooed them away. Plus the homemade 'Dock is closed' signs printed in 5 different languages helped. :)
Lots of people noticed what was going on at the dock and stopped to watch and even applauded! It was really very special and I am glad to have been a small part of it.

This is Frank Denise and Chris' dog. They wouldn't have a special moment like this without him.

Sam's Visit
Here's a bunch of personal work that has been dying to be let out for months now. Been wanting to play with these images, especially the black & white's at the bottom of this post, for a while but never found the time. Now I feel like the deck has cleared a bit and I can share these with you.
These were captured back in June when Amy's girlfriend Samantha and her son Max paid us a visit from Johannesburg, SA. We shared a nice afternoon of romping around Riverside Park in our bathing suits! Enjoy.

Wedding of Jessica & Daniel
Well here are some over-due images! :) Had a great time photographing Jessica & Daniel at the end of August and its pretty amazing that I've started on the album design before actually posting to the blog! Where does the time go?
It was an incredibly raining day at Christina's in Foxboro, MA and the service which was planned for outside had to be moved inside. But our lovely Bride & Groom took everything in stride and everyone had a great time. Looking forward to posting the album design!
