Event to Thank Our Veterans!

Really excited about this one! Last year I tried to organize an event to thank our local veterans for all their efforts. Just wanted to do something for them. Don't have many skills but thought if I could do some family portraits or kiddies portraits it would make them happy. Hopefully create a family heirloom or two and do it for free.

Since I don't really know anyone in that community the event basically fizzled. But in my flailing, in my reaching out to make a connection a Bride of mine checked in. Conversation went something like - 'Dude! Duh! Mike is an Air Force Veteran and I'll talk to a contact over at Hanscom and see if they are interested and doing something.' Me: 'Right. Mike. Hmmmm...Ok'.

So this year, actually this Wednesday November 14th, my friend Sharyn and I are heading to Hanscom Air Force base to do portraits of families for the soldiers who are over-seas. Whoo-hoo! I am very excited. Thinking this will be a really nice gift for the soldiers as they most likely will not be home for the holidays.

Just want to thank my friend Sharyn for making this happen and look forward to sharing some images with all of you later on this week.

Time for Holiday Portraits!

We are scheduling things a little earlier this year than previous. Instead of the week after Thanksgiving we are scheduling sessions the week before the Turkey holiday. Love to have you join us November 17th or 18th at our favorite location, Stylin Kids Salon in Mansfield.

We have also changed the offerings for this year. Instead of ordering prints and cards after the session we have change it so your $75 sitting fee includes 10 images from the session. This way you can make all the prints and gifts you like. Sound like a good deal? It is! :)

Please call us at 508-308-1723 or mail us if you would like to reserve your session. Hope you are well and look forward to speaking with you soon.

Fall Portraits 2012

Wanted to say thanks to all the families who joined us for portraits last weekend. It was a gorgeous day and we got lots of beautiful images. Here is just a quick selection.

Hard to believe it's nearly winter again and time to plan for the Holiday Portraits. Hopefully we got get through October this time without any snow!

First Communion Portraits

Finally have the opportunity to post a few images from my First Communion session with handsome Anthony. I first met Anthony and his sister Isabella a few years ago when we did some portraits at Borderland Park in Easton. They have grown incredibly and both are both really good subjects which I take credit for. :) This session was at St. Mary's Church in Mansfield on a slow Saturday afternoon.

Mother's Day Portraits at the Hockomock YMCA

Just wanted to thank the Hockomock YMCA branches of Foxboro and Franklin for inviting me to create Mother's Day portraits of their members. It was a really fun time and I appreciate the opportunity to work with all of you. Plus we got some nice stuff. :) Thanks to all who participated and hopefully we will see you again soon!

YMCA Foxboro Healthy Kids Day

Just wanted to thank the Foxboro YMCA for inviting me to participate in the Healthy Kids Day event this past Saturday. We asked the kids to show us what activity they did to stay healthy and active. They had a great time playing with all of the props and fooling around in front of the camera. Thanks to all who took a few moments to have your portrait taken!

Easter Portraits for 2012

Just want to thank all those you joined us for our portrait session with the Bunnies. Everyone seemed to have a good time - even our Bunnies! Not sure if they have yet recovered from all the squealing and fondling. Looking forward to next years sessions.

We have our Rabbits!

The Bunnies are here! Picked-up two beautiful rabbits this afternoon from Paine Farm in Foster RI. They are gorgeous and really friendly. The rabbits even had their first session with my daughter Clara. They stayed calm and collected in the hands of a very excited three year-old and should be fine for a weekend of sessions.

We still have availability for Saturday and Sunday. If you are interested or know someone that is just send me an email or call the studio at 508-406-5365.

Time for Easter Portraits with Bunnies!

Easter is right around the corner and actually a lot earlier than last year. It snuck right up on me! We are currently booking sessions for our Easter Portrait with Bunnies Special Friday March 23rd through Sunday March 25th. Session availability is limited so please don't wait if you want to join us.

NEW FOR 2012 SESSIONS: The package cost of $75 includes your 30 minute photo session, an unlimited number of family members who can join the fun, live bunnies to hug, colorful props to choose from and a CD of digital images from your portrait session with all the copy rights!

With these files you will be able to make all the prints or gifts you need for friends and family, email them around, add them to social media sites (please just give us photography credit) and archive them as the family heirlooms they are. Prints are not included in the package cost, but if you prefer to have professional prints made, we would be happy to work with you.

Also, by eliminating the image review portion of the photography session your time commitment is now only a half an hour. We will mail you a CD of your images within a few days of your session, or we can email you the images if you prefer, allowing plenty of time for you to share and print them prior to the Easter holiday.

Mohegan Sun Bridal Show

Had the pleasure of working with Ken Lopardo, Rhode Island's best photographer, at the Mohegan Sun Bridal Show on February 19th. Bridal show's are pretty crazy and intense affairs and I was happy to have just worked the booth, chatted with potential Brides for Ken and hand-out every third Hersey's Kiss. I would eat the first two.

The highlight of the day was the fashion show that a few boutique and make-up artist's put together. I was able to photograph the show's while Ken worked his own booth. It's his work right? :) I was pretty surprised when the attire switched from gown's and evening wear to lingerie. Though I was grateful. :) Here are a few shots from the day. Enjoy.
