Holiday Portrait Wrap-Up

Just wanted to thank all who joined us for our annual Holiday Portrait sessions! We captured some really nice images and I'm sure all the holiday cards came out beautiful.

Thank you to my friends who have returned year after year to have your portraits done and making us a part of your winter tradition. And to my new friends - look forward to seeing you next December if not sooner! :)

Activer Learners School

Believe this was my fifth consecutive year of photographing the Active Learners School in Taunton. I've gotta say they get cuter by the year. You can really see the personalities began to emerge. It's always just a fun time and the kids really get in to it and are shocked how quickly we are done. Just training them for Senior Portraits which are only a few years down the road. :)

Fall Portraits

Little over-due in posting these images. Especially considering the holiday promotion is right behind it!

Fulton Pond in Mansfield was a great place to have these sessions. Both beautiful with lots of lovely trees and backgrounds plus centrally located and easy to find. I know we will be there again.

Thanks to all who had sessions. Looking forward to seeing your holiday cards. :)

Kate's First Communion Portaits

Kate looked looked great in her First Communion gown and so proud! I think that came through in the images. I have worked with this family before so they are professional models now! Easy smiles, take direction well and muy attractive!

Thank you to St.Mary's Church in Mansfield, MA for letting us capture a few images inside. Its a really lovely church. I was lucking enough to Photograph a wedding there a few years ago. Beautiful stained glass and wonderful amounts of light. Great place to work.

Mansfield Family Fun Walk & Raffle Winners

It was another great Family Fun Walk in Mansfield last week. The rain held off for a little while but wasn't to be denied. Though it rained off and on for three hours lots of hardy souls walked up and down North Main Street to visit with vendors and to see what was new in town.

Thanks to the bunches of clients & friends who stopped in to say hello. Amazing to see how all the kids have grown. Guessing its time for new family portraits! :)

A special thanks to the Mansfield Downtown Business Association for organizing another great event. A major atta-girl to Kristie Johnston for pulling this all together again.

Now for the announcement you have all been waiting for. The raffle winners for the 2010 Mansfield Family Funwalk are...at the bottom of this post. :)

Here I am all smiles before the rains came.

This is basically how I felt. Happy to be here but a little off my game.

Kids4Life Fundraiser

Been meaning to publish a few images from the Kids4Life Fundaiser back on May 2 and here they are. I had a great time donating to this worthy cause. We raised a couple hundred dollars that will go directly to fighting cancer, made new friends & had fun. How can you beat that kind of day? :)

Portrait Fundraiser scheduled for Sunday May 2nd

I am happy to be working with 22 Mansfield 5th grade boys who formed the group Kids4Life. The Kids4Life Relay team is sponsored by Premier Athlete Training in their fight against cancer.

The boys are a bunch of friends who are anxious to aid the fight against cancer by helping those people who are going through this now and to remember those who have lost their fight. They understand that they can have a much bigger impact when they work together as a team, rather than individuals, so they have formed Kids4Life.

The portrait sessions will be taking place at the South Common of Mansfield starting at 10am on Sunday May 2nd. If you are interested in having your portrait taken please contact Roberta Sullivan at sullybb04@comcast.net or (508) 339-5410.

Hope to see you there for a good cause!

Its all about the light!

Had the opportunity to do a quick head shot of my neighbor Sandy and lucked out with some nice light. It is all about the light!

It was getting late in the evening when we finally got together and I knew we had to hurry. The sunlight was gorgeous but dropping fast. We headed up the rise in my backyard surrounded by soon to be blooming lilac, my neighbors swing set and mosquitoes big enough to throw shadows!

Everyone thinks you need a lot of room to take a portrait and that's hardly ever true. What's required is a pleasing background, nice directional light and a good looking subject. :) You got that and you are all set.

Think we only took about 2 dozens shots before we ran back inside and my favorites are included below. Enjoy!

Father Daughter Dance Portraits

Though these images are a few weeks old I just needed to share a few of them. Here are some portraits from the Foxborough Regional Charter School Father Daughter dance.

Not sure how I accomplished it but I completed 137 sessions in two hours and fifteen minutes. That's a little under a minute per session! No pressure. :) It sounded like a lovely event behind me but I never actually got to see it.

I enjoyed myself immensely and hope to have the opportunity to photograph this event again next year.
