Mohegan Sun Bridal Show

Had the pleasure of working with Ken Lopardo, Rhode Island's best photographer, at the Mohegan Sun Bridal Show on February 19th. Bridal show's are pretty crazy and intense affairs and I was happy to have just worked the booth, chatted with potential Brides for Ken and hand-out every third Hersey's Kiss. I would eat the first two.

The highlight of the day was the fashion show that a few boutique and make-up artist's put together. I was able to photograph the show's while Ken worked his own booth. It's his work right? :) I was pretty surprised when the attire switched from gown's and evening wear to lingerie. Though I was grateful. :) Here are a few shots from the day. Enjoy.

Thank for the years Pictage!

Well it's good-bye Pictage. Thank you for hosting my images all these years and helping me design Wedding Albums but it is time to move on. It was actually a very good 7 years and I appreciate all of your assistance with my business. Now on a hunt for a new service to host client images with shopping-cart functionality. Probably end up at Collages.net but we will see!

Pre-School Portraits

Had a blast photographing my daughters pre-school. They are all so cute and happy. You can't help but feel better when you are around them. Then they all start running in different directions, singing 10 different songs at the tops of their lungs and you realize....it's time to go and let the professionals handle this. :)

Show at the MMAS

I'm very excited to be showing a few photographs, ok six, a the Morini Gallery in Mansfield with the reception being held Friday January 27 from 7-9pm. The Morini Gallery is run by the Mansfield Music and Arts Society which has been supporting local artist's for 20 years. If you get the opportunity please stop by and say hello. I've seen a number of the other pieces and they are really good.

The work I have chosen to show is a big departure from my normal subject which is....human subjects. Add to that I have never actually participated in a show so I am doubly out of my comfort zone. :) With the theme being New England I spent a lot of time going through my personal images looking for those small details that might tell the larger story. I'm happy with the photographs I choose and here is a peek at few. Hope to see you there!

Thank You!

Just wanted to thank everyone for another great year! It was a pleasure working with all of you and I am really excited about 2012. Hope you all had a great holiday. Wanted to share a wonderful referral I received right before the holidays which helped get through some of those long nights.

"John is a fantastic photographer!! John was our photographer for our wedding, and I have the BEST wedding album that you could imagine! It far exceeded my expectations. Now, 6 years and 2 kids later, he has done photos of my children for us. My only complaint is that there are too many good ones and it costs a small fortune to print all of the ones I like! Seriously, though, I will go back to John again, and again, and again....as long as my kids will let me! He does fabulous work and is super to work with. I would highly recommend John for any of your photo needs. " Sharyn I.

Rock Stars!

I am so happy to share a few photographs from the July wedding of Tiffani and Eric. The playful and carefree spirit of their day comes through in each image. It was a real pleasure to capture their beautiful smiles, the deep emotion and the obvious love they have for each other.

We had fun playing with the props of the day - a hammock, an ice-cream truck the bride and groom had arranged for guests to enjoy, and an umbrella that created an artistic backdrop in some of the photos, while keeping the newly-weds dry from the light rain of the afternoon. The posing was natural and relaxed even as the rain started to come down. It was so nice to just be a part of their memorable day, and I'm excited I can provide them a way to relive it through the photos.

The reception was held at the beautiful Five Bridge Inn in Rehoboth, MA, under a festive tent and the night stars. The Cake was a creation of Guy's Cakes in Medway, MA and the bride's gorgeous dress was from Priscilla of Boston.

Congratulations to the VERY happy couple! May your smiles and your love stay strong.

Easter Portraits for 2011

Really enjoyed our Easter sessions this year and here are a few of the images. It's always great when the kids come back year after year. I'm told by many of the parents that soon as Christmas is done the mantra is 'When do we see the bunnies?'. :) I love that. It's great to create lasting memories for these kids. Not sure they will feel the same when when these pictures show up at college graduation parties or their weddings but it will still be worth a laugh. :)
